GRADMUSIC is a directory of graduate choral conducting programs across the united states and internationally.
RESEARCH OF PROGRAMS:
Each program has been thoroughly researched, with information gathered from: course catalogs, degree descriptions, audition requirement applications, admissions applications, contact with alumni of all listed programs, history's of all the music departments listed, biographical information of the faculty members, and quantitative information scored for analysis.
Alan began his research of these graduate music programs in 2005, after seeing a list of graduate programs on a Choralnet.org forum post.
*No program is listed without being researched for a minimum of 2 years.
FOUNDER/DEVELOPER OF GRADMUSIC:
Alan Davis, founder and Developer of GradMusic.org, graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 2013 with a bachelors degree in Musical Arts - studying choral music education. Recently he graduated from Portland State University with a Master in Education (Secondary Choral) degree, June 2015.
Currently, Alan is Director of Choirs at
Hemet High School, in Southern California, where
he directs 3 choirs and teaches music
appreciation. In addition, Alan is currently
working towards the completion of the
Three-Summer MM in Choral Conducting
Program at California State University -
Los Angeles.
